During this class we will be learning the basics of the sewing machine: What is the presser foot? How do I make sure I sew in a straight line? What on earth is a bobbin? Once we have learned how to thread up the machine there will be a chance to practice and build a bit of confidence before tackling your first project - a lovely stripey tote bag! This class is perfect for all abilities - whether you are just dipping your toes into the water, or you just want a nice simple project to get your sewjo back.

• Winding on a bobbin

• Threading up the machine

• Cutting out fabric using a simple paper pattern
